Internet Safety
Today I will be in your classroom to help you learn about keeping safe online. We will use the Promethean board to do several activities and we’ll also watch a Brainpop movie to see how Tim and Moby keep safe online.

Today you will learn how to log into Brainpop,Jr. watch the BrainPop, Jr. movie clip on Thanksgiving. When you finish the movie, play the Game, then do the Draw About It activity.

Today we will watch a Brainpop, Jr. movie on Pushes and Pulls. We’ll take the quiz with the activotes, too. If there is time we will return to the computers to play the games below.
Digital Citizenship
The Grade 5 building block of character focuses on citizenship, and citizenship also applies to online interactions. Today you will watch movie clips from Brainpop concerning three important topics in digital citizenship: digital etiquette, cyberbullying, and online safety. After watching the movies, you will use Primary Pad to collaborate online with members of your group to answer questions about the movie. Click on the picture below to take you to the movie clip.
Johnny Appleseed
Learn about Johnny Appleseed with Annie and Moby. After you watch the movie at the interactive white board, you will take the quiz using the Activotes. Then we’ll play the game and read the comic strip and joke together. At your computer, try the Apple Harvest Click-and-Play hidden picture.
