Town Crier Voicethread
In your studies of colonial life, you have learned all about the role of the town crier. We will take your town crier messages and put them in a Voicethread. Before recording your message you will create a self portrait in Kidpix, complete with town crier costume!

Take the content of your paragraph and turn it into a Wordle, which we will use on your page of the Voicethread. We will invite your high school Ordinary Heroes partners to comment on your Voicethread once it is complete.

If I Were In Charge of the World Voicethread
We will be creating a class Voicethread showcasing your If I Were In Charge of the World poems, based on the poem by Judith Viorst. Below are the steps for creating the final product.
1. Key in your poem into Microsoft Word. We will review some of the formatting and editing techniques. We will learn how to change fonts and sizes, use Alignment and Spacing, and Spelling and Grammar check.
2. Create an original work of art based upon your poem and scan it into the computer.
3. Create an avatar to use as an identity on My Avatar Editor.
4. Record your poem in Garageband and save it as an mp3 file.
Hopes and Dreams Voicethread
We are going to create a Voicethread from your Hopes and Dreams paragraphs! Here are the steps that we need to take to publish your work on the web.
1. Word processing your paragraph in Microsoft Word.
2. Scan in your original drawing.
3. Create an avatar for your identity on Voicethread using My Avatar Editor.
4. Learn how to use Garageband to record your hopes and dreams into an mp3 file.
Water Conservation Voicethread
Today you will work on drawing an example of water conservation in action in KidPix. We will use these drawings in a class Voicethread.
Voicethread with Our Friends In Dallastown
Today we will create an self-portrait, in Kidpix, to represent you on our collaborative voicethread project with our Skype friends in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. Once they have posted their Voicethread of their 100th day of school activities, we will comment on it. The final product will appear on our page on the Collaborations wikispace.

Today we will begin to work on creating a Voicethread for your fables. Here are the steps that need to be completed before we begin recording.
- Key into Word the first draft of the fable.
- If Mrs. Shaw has edited your first draft, make your corrections and print.
- Scan your artwork into the computer.
- Create an avatar for your identity on Voicethread using My Avatar Editor.
I Am Thankful For…
Your Self-Portraits are complete and so is your writing, so today we will create recordings of your I Am Thankful For… writing, which will be put on a Voicethread and shared with the world!

Today you will create an avatar at the Reasonably Clever site. You will take a selected screenshot of it and save it for use in the Fruit Voicethread that you will complete in Chinese with Mrs. Zhao.
